Usually games require servers and stuff for multiplayer and it’s needed, but this just is used to maintain control and access, I can’t use a power save pro to fight other people.

The data isn’t that extensive, there’s no leaderboards, it used to just fit on a cartridge. It’s not exactly a game it’s just access to a database. Now it’s like some weird server based thing.

Update 2: it does say support, sorry just noticed but if they’re not supporting it, there’s a chance it’s down until then, so don’t panic, panic after the 4th if it still doesn’t work.
